Penta Capital backed Sir Peter Wood and his team in 2010 to complete the MBO of esure, the UK’s 5^th largest motor insurer,  from Lloyds Banking Group plc.

We supported management through the personal injury crisis, doubled investment returns and optimised the capital structure, which lead to a 12 fold improvement in profitability over 3 years.

In March 2013 esure Group PLC successfully listed on the London Stock Exchange at a value of £1.2bn, generating a realised money multiple of over 3.3x for Penta.
